Central Arizona was the proud sponsor of the March 14, 2007 Handprints
mini-series workshop on in-hand manipulation.
These
mini-lectures provide the attendee with an overview of the development
of hand skills and ideas for various tools and tricks
to use in treatment. These workshops are a 4 part series of
2-3 hour workshops designed for professionals working with children
from early infancy to 6 years old. Throughout the series, the latest
clinical theory on hand skills, their development and affect on a
child’s function will be presented. Common compensations will be
taught. Treatment techniques and activity adaptations will be given.
This workshop is great for occupational therapists, educators,
physical therapists, developmental service instructors and others.
Handprints is offering a
2-day course. The Handprints workshop is a 12 hour course
designed for professionals working with children from early infancy to
6 years old. The latest clinical theory on hand skills, their
development and effect on a child’s function will be presented.
Common compensations will be reviewed. Treatment techniques and
activity adaptations will be given.
The course is appropriate for early interventionists, teachers,
occupational therapists, certified occupational therapy assistants,
physical therapists, and others who work with young children.
