Workshop Outline

         WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This two day workshop is designed for professionals working with children early infancy to 6 years old. The latest clinical theory on hand skills, their development and affect on a child’s function will be presented. Treatment techniques and activity adaptations will be given.
 

        WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

  •  Learn the anatomy of the hand and appreciate it’s design. 

  • Know the latest clinical theory regarding hand skills and their development.

     

  •  Learn common compensations for typical and atypical development of hand 

       skills.

  •  Understand how a child’s hand skills impact present and future function.

  •  Gain new treatment techniques and activity adaptations to encourage hand skills.
