Through history, the handprint has been
used as a symbol of both our uniqueness and our commonality. From cave
walls to Hollywood sidewalks to preschool classrooms around the world, the handprint
symbolizes humanity. The handprint also represents an essential component
of our functionality. It is the physical representation of our ability
to impact our environment by touching, grasping, pulling, pushing, and manipulating
it. |
About Handprints®
| Handprints was developed to promote young children’s hand skills
with an emphasis on parent participation. The information is designed
to be a resource for professionals to help families with children that exhibit
developmental delays and typical development between the ages of early infancy
to 6 years old. |
